On the occasion of the European Mobility week, our partner from RRA LUR in coollaboration with the City of Ljubljana anf the Institute of Traffic and Transport, held a dissemination event regarding Inter-Connect activities on the 18th September in Ljubljana which gathered around 80 participants.
It was an opportunity for various projects to present their achievements and missions to the wider audience and to share and exchange different experiences and best practices.
EU Commissioner Violeta Bulc , Director of EU Transport Safety Council Mr. Antonio Avenoso and EU Coordinator for Road Traffic Safety and Sustainable Mobility Mr. Matthew Baldwin were also among the highlevel participants that took part to the roundtable on traffic safety and sustainable mobility.
After the presentation held on the Inter-Connect PuT and intermodality situation analysis there was a discussion on the other bottlenecks for the PuT developments in the region and measures to improve the current situation. On general, proposals were mostly focused on the organisational issues (soft measures) that could be improved with effective communication among the ministry and the transport operators. Similar to the concerns expressed at the 1st dissemination event, the overall observation of the participants at the 2nd stakeholders event was that in general the PuT offers from the neighbouring countries and from coastal area to the Ljubljana region (and vice versa) is not sufficient. This is the reason for very low share of PuT usage on those sections.
